Passengers, their luggage and accompanied
vehicles are carried subject to:
a) The Athens Convention relating to Carriage of Passengers and
their Luggage by Sea 1974
b) The Greek Private Maritime Code, and
c) the general conditions of carriage of Superfast Ferries,
collectively "The Conditions". These Conditions include
exclusions and limitations of carrier's liability for death,
illness or for damage to or loss of vehicles and luggage, or for
delay or deviation. In particular, the Athens Convention
Relating to the Carriage of Passengers and their Luggage by Sea
of 1974 includes limits to the carrier's liability for loss of
or damage to luggage and accompanied vehicles. Copies of the
Conditions of carriage of Superfast Ferries are available upon
request.
Destinations - Fares
Superfast Ferries makes every effort to strictly adhere to
its destination schedule. However, in the event of an increase
in fuel prices, currency fluctuation or other unforeseen
circumstances, it reserves the right to change departure time
and ticket prices without prior notice.
Cancellations
The following amounts are refunded for ticket cancellations made
at the issuing travel agency or at Superfast Ferries:
- A 100 % refund, from the date of the ticket issuance until
30 days prior to departure.
- A 75 % refund, from 29 to 7 days prior to departure.
- A 50 % refund, from 6 days to 24 hours prior to departure.
- Superfast Ferries has no obligation to refund 24 hours
prior to ship's departure or if the ticket holder does not
report at check-in.
- In the event of a partial cancellation of a round-trip
ticket, the ticket holder will be charged a SUPERONE fare.
SUPERSAVER
Cancellations
- A 75 % refund, from the date of issue until 30 days prior
to departure.
- A 50% refund, from 29 to 7 days prior to departure.
- Superfast Ferries has no obligation to make any refund in
cases of cancellation later than 6 days prior to departure or
if the ticket holder does not report at check - in.
- Partial cancellation of SUPERSAVER tickets is not
possible.
- The general terms of cancellations which are referred on
the ticket are not valid for the SUPERSAVER.
Refunds on cancellations are made only from
the issuing travel agency. Port agencies are allowed to cancel
tickets but not to refund money.
Open Return Tickets
Passengers with open return tickets must confirm the date of
their return with the Superfast Ferries travel agents at least
one week (in low season) and at least two weeks (in high season)
before the date on which they wish to depart. Return fares are
always calculated on the basis of the low season fare and the
current tariff. In the event that the passenger travels in high
season or during a period in which a new tariff is in force,
then any difference between the current rate and the pre-paid
fare will be payable at the port where the passenger presents
himself. Superfast Ferries cannot guarantee return reservations
and is not responsible for failure to transport passengers.
Lost Tickets
In the event a passenger losing his/her ticket, he/she must
immediately notify the issuing travel agent or Superfast
Ferries. The reissued ticket can only be picked up by the owner
with valid identification. |
Note: At check-in, all passengers
must furnish proof of ticket ownership with either a valid
identification card or passport.
Discounts
Discounts are not cumulative. Discounts for groups and buses are
made upon agreement.
Boarding Procedure
Passengers with confirmed reservations must report at the
embarkation point at least 2 hours prior to scheduled departure
time. Check-in terminates 20 minutes prior to departure. After
check-in termination, Superfast Ferries reserves the right to
cancel any reservation without a refund. Those travelling with
trailers or campers are required to check-in 3 hours prior to
departure. The delayed arrival of a camper may prevent it from
being loaded on the open deck.
In compliance with the Schengen Convention, passengers
travelling within the European Union are not required to undergo
passport control.Nonetheless, all passengers are required to
have their valid travel documents with them (passport and
identification card) in the event that local authorities
undertake sporadic examinations. Superfast Ferries cannot be
held responsible in the event the authorities prevent a
passenger from continuing his/her journey. Superfast Ferries
reserves the right to deny embarkation to any individual who
does not possess valid travel documents.
Pets
Pets travel free of charge in specially designated quarters.
Pets are not allowed indoors (including cabins, restaurants and
bars), and owners or guardians are required to have their pet's
valid health papers with them. When on board, all pets are
required to wear a muzzle and be on a leash, accompanied by a
guardian.
Baggage
Superfast Ferries is not responsible for the loss of baggage,
money or valuables left in open storage spaces or in cabins.
Camping on Board
Superfast Ferries announces that as per International Ship and port Security Code regulations (ISPS) of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), will no longer be able to accept camping on board its Superfast Ferries in the Adriatic Sea.
Useful Information
- Breakfast and other meals are not included in the price of
the ticket.
- A cabin is defined as a 2, 3 or 4-berth, depending on the
number of passengers occupying it, not on the number of
berths.
Attention
Tickets are valid for one year from the date of issue and only
for the port indicated on the ticket. Superfast Ferries is
entitled to retain the total value of the ticket if the
passenger interrupts his voyage at an in-between port, unless
the interruption is due to illness, accident or force majeure.
In the case of change the passengers must notify the issuing
Agent or the Superfast Ferries Port Agent.
